Have you ever asked yourself, “how do billionaires do it?”
I asked myself this one question and yes, they have a lot of things in common.
However, one key thing stood out to me which we can all learn from….
THEY LISTEN TO THE CALL AND NEVER LOOK BACK:
You can also choose to call this DETERMINATION.
A lot of us start out with a dream and quit when things don’t go our way, we become driven by the fear of failure than the potential of success. These billionaires however don’t have this mentality, they are prepared to fail over and over again if that’s what it takes to get to their dreams, they make a plan and they stick to it. They have trained their minds so well that they do not consider failure as an option but as a step on the road to the big goal.
Look at Oprah, she is the most respected woman in Media and the wealthiest black woman in the world today, with an estimated net worth of $3.5 billion. How did she get here? She listened to the call and never looked back. Some time in her career, she was offered a job that paid 2 times more than where she was at, she turned it down because she trusted the truth in her that said it was not the right move, she decided not to let the “higher salary” control her and instead taught her mind to focus on the direction she wanted to go. Many years later, she has become the Oprah we know and respect because she listened and never looked back.
Jeff Bezos quit his job in 1993 to found Amazon (then an online bookstore) from his garage and even warned his early investors that it might fail. Today, he is the 2nd wealthiest man in the world with a net worth of over $192.6 billion. He too listened to the call and didn’t look back, from an online book store, Amazon has grown to become the Brand we know now.
This is exactly what I mean by listening to the call and never looking back, it means to create a path for yourself, make a plan, trust in your path and never consider failure as an option. Be flexible to change but never give up.
The fear of failure has killed more dreams than the lack of resources. The best way to look at failure is that “you never really fail if you keep trying” so keep trying everyday because one day, you will achieve your dreams and guess what? — Your “Failures” will become celebrated.
